Project Sister Cities

“A sister city or a twin town relationship is a form of legal or social agreement between two geographically and politically distinct localities for the purpose of promoting cultural and commercial ties.”

The goal of the project is to find as many sister cities as possible, to involve as many countries and continents as possible, so that Ukrainian cities will receive powerful assistance in the future. Our volunteers are engaged in educational activities in Europe, America, and Asian countries. Thanks to this, people learn about the problems of Ukraine firsthand and want to help.

An example of the successful sister cities network development is the signing of a memorandum on the establishment of sister relations between Kharkiv and the American city of Albuquerque. Among Albuquerque’s sister cities, Kharkiv became the first Ukrainian city. After the bilateral partnership agreement was signed, a meeting between Ukrainian volunteers and representatives of Albuquerque was held — and the representatives of the “Direct Help” Charity Foundation took active part in it!

Sister Cities is an important and interesting project, thanks to which our country will receive huge support and find even more new friends.
