What was your life like before...

Before the full-scale war began, everything was fine, as it probably was in every Ukrainian family. Life was calm and full of a bright future. But on March 29, 2020, my husband, the father of my children, died of a pulmonary hemorrhage. And worst of all, it happened on my birthday. From that moment on, everything in our family that had been built over the years fell apart.

How does this affect your everyday life?

Now I live only for my children. Raising children on your own these days is very hard. I never remarried, because I am a one-man woman. It is very hard to find work in our area. So we live only on social payments from the state, which are far from enough to live on. Sometimes I take on odd jobs (helping elderly neighbors around the house). And now winter is coming soon, and it will be very hard for all of us.

Your strengths and dreams

My biggest dream is for the war to end. For the children to live in peace and not be afraid of planes in the sky, but only be happy to see them.

What exactly will the funds be used for?

I want to spend the money on clothes for the children for the winter, because unfortunately children grow very fast.
