I am a single mother. My child and I live in Ukraine, in a frontline city, and my earnings are not enough for basic needs.

What was your life like before...

I am an engineer by profession. Before the war, my daughter and I had a peaceful life and could freely walk outdoors. Ordinary school lessons and going to dance and drawing classes all became a luxury when the war began.

How does this affect your everyday life?

Now my child studies only in a bomb shelter or online. We no longer go out for walks, because the city is constantly hit by missiles, jet drones and guided aerial bombs, and FPV drones hunt ordinary people right in the street. Our building has already been damaged several times by strikes, our mental state has worsened, and we try not to go outside unless we have to.

Your strengths and dreams

We hold on because we believe we will defeat the aggressor, the murderers who are ruthlessly destroying our country. Every day we do our usual things, and I try to improve my child's quality of life a little, but it is hard. I want my child to remember a different childhood; right now she is growing up in the middle of war, for the fifth year in a row.

What exactly will the funds be used for?

Even a little help is hope for us — hope to live to see Ukraine's victory, to survive amid the destruction, the high prices caused by the country's ruined economy, and the shortages of food and everyday items caused by the destruction of shopping centers, food warehouses and literally all civilian infrastructure. Our gratitude to those who took the time to pay attention!
