IDP, on a disability pension. I have multiple sclerosis. I need help with housing and medicine.

I am Volodymyr Nuzhnyi, I am 59 years old. I am an internally displaced person (IDP), a disability pensioner, and I have multiple sclerosis. Because of my health I have significant mobility limitations and am forced to use a walker. In August 2021 we were forced to leave Makiivka. The road ran through Russian territory to Kharkiv, and from there to Mariupol. We took part of our belongings with us, hoping to start a new life. But on February 24, 2022, everything changed again. In Mariupol we found ourselves in constant danger and lived there for about 1,5 months during active fighting. All our property remained under occupation. Leaving Mariupol was very difficult and dangerous — we went through numerous checkpoints, and the journey took a great deal of strength. The cost of the evacuation was comparable to the price of our apartment in Mariupol (about 32 000 $). The evacuation was paid for by my son together with his fiancée. In Dnipro we were met by my son — he helped us after the journey and arranged our further move. The next day we set off for Lviv. Now my wife and I live in a rented apartment in Lviv. Because of my health I cannot work and can only get around with a walker. Rent with utilities comes to about 17 000 UAH a month, and the pension isn't enough even for basic needs and treatment. We have lost everything and are now starting life over again. I will be sincerely grateful for any help — right now it is critically important for us. I will also be grateful if you share my story. Even a little support means a great deal to us.
